Ahuizotl am winning again! I am the greetest! Now I am leaving Equestria for no raeson!

I’m seriously hoping nobody made this joke already. Getting comics out lately, much less reading them, has been rather difficult; the new job has taken its toll on my hobbies. I’m pretty thrilled to get this one out, though until I can get the Horse Power artists to art again, expect things to be sparse and simple, a la this week. Thankfully, I’ve had the wherewithal to catch the new season. Little victories, little victories.

I have a difficult time grappling with how I feel about the new set of horse half-hours. Some of the plot direction seems to have the mindset of “This will make internet fandom happy,” and while that would raise some immediate and nauseating red flags for me, they haven’t gone overboard yet. I enjoyed the premiere and a bit of backstory, but when you ask me to believe that this fictional character within the show’s world is supposed to be an actual character, I’m just left asking “Really? Is this what we’re doing now?”

But aside from that, hey, who can really complain? Show keeps showin’, comic keeps comicin’, merch keeps merchin’, and man, music suddenly started ‘a musicin’. I’m ecstatic over the release of the official soundtrack, and while the nitpicky side of me wished for something a little more extensive (I’m still dying for a high quality version of the extended theme song), it has practically all of the season 1/2 songs I keep in regular rotation. Let’s hope for further releases for season 3, and perhaps the odds and ends of 1/2. If the internet is truly a series of tubes, then Danny, boy, the pipes, the pipes are callin’.

I still need to finish editing the Equestria Girls response podcast, but I don’t have any ETA for that. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity around Christmas.

Ask your doctor if Ahuizotl is right for you,
GX
