Week-long summer camp is serious business.
I think by now, most of you have probably figured out that I like hard left turns and taking things in weird directions. If you haven’t, I like taking hard left turns and taking things in weird directions. In this case, Season 3 sure did clean house on a few things. If by the end of Season 4, consensus says 3 was more of a transitional season, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
The antagonist relationship in the show is actually pretty interesting, primarily because it is still a non-violent one. It seems almost obvious considering the aims of the show, but so few shows can pull off great villains that don’t really fight or command others to fight on their behalf. With few exceptions, the majority of antagonists in the show are emotionally manipulative or misdirecting, and yet still feel as memorable and threatening as any other cartoon villain worth their handlebar mustache and dark cape.
Recent events seem to suggest that the crap I say here and in the comic has influence on the direction of reality. My first tip was Sunday’s Dilbert comic:
Then just this morning, it was leaked that one of the next pony plush from Build-a-Bear will be Spike, I.E. the first commercially released Spike plush after my open challenge to plush companies. Thus, I see three likely scenarios:
1. this is a series of interesting coincidences;
2. I have a large and unexpectedly famous readership; or
3. via the comic, I can successfully exert my will on the universe.
Since I’m so inclined to go with the third, here are my commands for this week:
Leaked photos reveal an upcoming Flim and Flam playset, including both characters, and the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000.
Equestria Girls only features a five minute scene in which they are humans. It turns out to be a dream sequence. There are several musical sequences of astounding quality.
A full and official MLP soundtrack is announced, rerecorded by the original singers, and includes uncut and alternate versions of the show’s music.
Hasbro officially sponsors Mane6 to finish and release both Fighting is Magic and their original quadruped fighting game. On Steam. With full online and Big Picture Mode. Discord is playable.
GX’s popularity as a pony webcomic writer skyrockets, prompting conventions and online pony fan media to fight each other for his time.
Sadly, I feel that one of these is just too unlikely to come true, which really depresses me. I’d really love a soundtrack of official quality.
Meanwhile, in the Horse Power canon…
No cartoons and no Dr. Pepper make GX go something-something…

Oh yeah, Jet made a background story for the first panel.
